International Voice Termination

Send outbound international calls to Wise Network over SIP and we deliver them to fixed and mobile networks worldwide, on the route type you choose for each destination.

What is voice termination?

Voice termination is the wholesale service of delivering an outbound call from one network to the network of the person being called, anywhere in the world. A carrier hands the call to a termination provider over SIP; the provider routes it, directly or through other carriers, to the destination fixed or mobile operator, and charges per minute by destination. A-Z termination means the provider can deliver to every destination code, from A to Z.

How termination works on our network

  1. Your switch sends the call. Your softswitch or SBC routes the call to our SIP interconnect, with the dialled number in international format.
  2. Our platform chooses a supplier. Least-cost routing selects a terminating partner for that destination and route type, using price and live quality rules.
  3. The call is delivered. The supplier, or a chain of carriers, hands the call to the destination fixed or mobile network.
  4. Failover if needed. If the first supplier rejects or fails the call, the next route in the list is tried.
  5. Both sides record it. A CDR is written and rated in real time on our billing platform.

Premium and standard A-Z routes

We offer two route types, tailored to each carrier's top destinations, quality requirement and target rate:

Route typeSelected forSuits
PremiumCall quality, low post-dial delay, caller ID deliveryRetail voice, enterprise and contact-centre traffic
StandardPrice, with acceptable qualityPrice-sensitive wholesale traffic

The route type is fixed per destination on your rate deck. We do not substitute a lower route type without agreement.

Route quality KPIs

Each destination and supplier is measured continuously on answer-seizure ratio (ASR), average call duration (ACD), post-dial delay (PDD) and, on premium routes, caller ID delivery. Falling quality triggers re-routing. On request, we share route performance for your traffic so both sides look at the same numbers.

Rate decks, billing and settlement

  • Rate decks per destination and route type, with notice periods for changes set in the agreement.
  • Live CDRs and billing on our own platform, with web access for your team.
  • For suppliers that terminate our traffic, quick delivery of volume and on-time weekly payment.

Fraud controls on terminated traffic

International termination is exposed to fraud on both ends: SIM box bypass by suppliers, and artificially inflated or hacked-PBX traffic from buyers. We monitor short-duration patterns, unusual destination spikes and CLI anomalies, and we will not knowingly use bypass routes. The same knowledge drives our telecom security products for operators.

Connecting

Termination runs over a standard SIP interconnection. See SIP interconnection for the technical steps, from exchanging IP addresses to test calls and go-live.

Who it is for

Carriers and ITSPs that need outbound international reach, voice aggregators filling gaps in their supplier list, and service providers that want one A-Z partner instead of many bilateral agreements.

Frequently asked questions

What does A-Z termination mean?

It means one provider can deliver calls to every international destination code, rather than a handful of countries. Rates, quality and route type are still set per destination.

How are termination rates set?

Per minute and per destination, published on a rate deck. Rates for the same destination differ by route type (premium or standard) and can change as supplier costs change; rate changes are notified in advance under the agreement.

Do you deliver the caller ID?

On premium routes, caller ID (CLI) delivery is a selection criterion for suppliers. On standard routes it is not guaranteed for every destination; we state this on the rate deck.

How is traffic reconciled?

Both sides keep call detail records. Our platform produces CDRs and rates traffic live, and partners can see their traffic and statements through the web interface.
